Our client required a very specialised contact management system to allow them to maintain a company-wide database of their business contacts to be used in relation to their work for public sector contracts for organisations such as the DTI, Yorkshire Forward and the European Commission.
The system allows our client to store full organisation and contact details together with information such as:
- Call history
- Sent & received emails
- Electronic document store
- Meeting & project history
- Reminder system
The application also allows the user to perform simple or complex searches based on information such as industry sector or size of organisation. The results of these searches can be added to distribution lists for mail merging or bulk information emailing purposes. Information can be batch imported into the system from a range of other applications using a standard file format.
A 3 level security system enables information on privileged contacts to be locked-down so that users at a lower level cannot alter the records.
The system is used by approximately 25 users.
