This application was developed for our client to run on mobile Pocket PC machines to allow wireless scanning of manufacturing component bar codes.

At every stage of the manufacturing process, our client needed to track individual components of items being manufactured throughout a multi stage process.

Each Pocket PC device is assigned to a particular area in the factory, and when an item enters that area, its barcode is scanned by the operatives. The scan information is decoded, verified, then sent over the wireless link to an SQL database. The desktop applications are then used to perform item tracking and missing item analysis based on this information. All scans are time stamped for precise tracking.

At any point of the manufacturing process, the client can view the current state of manufacturing of any particular order, providing essential manufacturing management information, as well as assisting in providing customers information of their order's progress.
